Myreena, also known as Nathalie Furrer, is a Swiss student with a passion for photography. At the age of 16 she purchased her first camera and through experimentation and discovery, found her love for infrared photography.

 

Infrared Photography

 

All of the photographs on this website are infrared pictures. Infrared light is not part of the visible light spectrum; therefore we can’t see infrared light without a filter, we can only see it when it is isolated.

Infrared photography is often confused with thermal imaging, which is not the same but it shows a similar effect. The filter shows the object because the sun (or a different light source) shines infrared light onto it and it is reflected or absorbed by the object.
